Lion’s Mane mushrooms

Lion’s Mane Mushroom: Fourth supplement to show neuroprotective effects against Microwave Radiation
As part of our ongoing research into the condition known as Electro Hypersensitivity (EHS) we continually evaluate published research plus feedback from parents and children suffering from EHS. We specifically search for evidence of treatments or therapies which help reduce or eliminate the symptoms of EHS.
Electro Hypersensitivity was first identified in the 1950’s and was then known as Radiowave or Microwave Sickness. Radar operators were the first to experience it.
A person has EHS when they are adversely affected by the high frequency electromagnetic fields generated by all mobile and Wi-Fi devices. Some early symptoms are headaches, brain fog, ear pain and tingling, and the more severe symptoms progress through to a completely suppressed immune system and constant illness. There are also strong links with the suspected development of brain and heart cancer, as shown in the US Government sponsored National Toxicology Program results published in 2016.
In our other articles, we have already identified Red Ginseng, Green Tea, and Moringa Oleifera as potentially having significant protective effects against EHS, based on animal research studies.
Recent testimony by a patient who was so sick with EHS that she was hospitalised and in and out of a coma for a number of years, is that Lion’s Mane mushrooms saved her life. On the recommendation of one of the UK’s top specialists, she started a daily supplement regime which enabled her to resume life almost at a normal level. The medicinal mushrooms, which have been used for thousands of years in Asia, helped her to achieve an amazing recovery.
A medical database search reveals that Dr Hirokazu Karagishi published research papers in 2002 on the biological mechanism that Lion’s Mane mushrooms initiate. It stimulates the creation of a unique compound known as Nerve Growth Factor (NGF).
Nerve Growth Factor stabilises the nervous system, and triggers the growth of new cells, in both the brain tissue and the peripheral nervous system. We know that people who suffer from EHS have extensive symptoms of nerve damage so it makes sense that NGF, which repairs nerves, should help EHS sufferers.
There are also studies suggesting that NGF could help patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. For healthy people NGF supplement studies suggest enhanced memory and cognitive function.
So far there have been no clinical studies conducted specifically on EHS patients using Lion’s Mane supplements under controlled and double-blind conditions. However, we suspect that this food, which has been known to medical specialists for centuries in China, might be part of the long term treatment solution for EHS.
